Southern Tree Plantation - Located in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains near Blairsville, Georgia (approximately 24 miles from Blue Ridge), Southern Tree Plantation is an active plantation growing thousands of pumpkins and Christmas trees. The Plantation is loaded with fun activities and things for children to do during the Fall and Christmas seasons, and is open to the general public during this time. They also specialize in outdoor weddings and large group events which are available year-round.

Uncle Shucks Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch -- recognized as one of America's top corn mazes! Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Dawsonville is a 20-acre "agri-tainment" complex. The main attraction continues to be the 12-acre field of living cornstalks, in which four miles of trails are carved into a Celestial Design of a sunburst and crescent moon and stars. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy complimentary activities, including a giant sunflower garden, covered picnic pavilion, Kiddie KORNer play area - with its tractor display and mini soybean maze. Popular fee-based activities include evening bonfires, tractor-drawn hayrides, pony rides (all on weekends), a corn cannon (daily), and haunted trails for Halloween (special dates). Fresh food and refreshments are served on weekends.

Fall Festival at John C. Campbell Folk School - October 3-4 Seven miles east of Murphy, NC, off U.S. Highway 64, just north of Georgia's state line. One of the largest and most popular events of its type in the region, and a short drive from Blue Ridge, Fall Festival is a celebration of our rich Appalachian heritage. Celebrate the rich heritage of the Appalachians at the 35th annual Fall Festival, featuring the craft of 200 craftspeople, continuous live music and dance on two stages, craft demonstrations, food, kid's activities and much more. 10am - 5pm, Saturday & Sunday Admission: Adults: $5.00 Kids 12-17: $3.00 Under 12: Free

Georgia Mountain Fall Festival - October 9-18 - Arts, crafts & exhibits. Clogging, singing, authentic mountain demonstrations, pioneer village, kiddie rides and a new show, Kay Rosaires Big Cat Encounter. Regional food and lots of fun for the whole family. Mountain Harvest Arts and Craft Sale - October 17-18, 24-25 - 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Mountain Arts & Crafts, food and fun for the whole family. Grandpa Jones' Corn Maze - GRANDPA JONES CORN MAZE Located just 6 miles out of Ellijay between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, you will find our 10-acre corn maze, 8-acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch, hayrides, concession barn, and football on the cable TV in the barn!
