Georgia Cabins - Blue Ridge Vacation Rental

Cabin Rentals of Georgia

Gary and Lissa,

We'd like to commend your website. In the absence of a personal referral, and in a marketplace with many offerings, your website stood out with its organization and information. We chose your cabin with confidence, and the entire process from reservation through check-out has been seamless and well-managed.

The cabin is just as advertised - beautiful, luxurious, and very comfortable. And what can you say about the view! STUNNING! We've had a great visit. Despite the heat wave, we enjoyed horse back riding, whitewater rafting, the train ride, tubing, and shopping. We're already planning a return in cooler weather!

Thank you and best wishes,
Rex and Sue, Gina and Kyle

Gary and Lissa - we did extensive research on cabins in this area. None are even comparable to the quality and luxury your cabin offers. Thank you for the wonderful blessing of sharing it with us. We will be back!

We can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Five Peaks Cabin. What a beautiful place to come and relax! Everything was just perfect from the scenic views of the five peaks, the beautiful cabin interior, the furnishings, to the fresh air, tranquility and great hiking area. This has been our best trip to the mountains. We will miss this place and hope to return soon.

When Charles whisked me off after our wedding to head to our secret surprise honeymoon that he had planned, I knew a week with him anywhere would be wonderful...little did I know how awesome of a week it would be. What a surprise! I think my jaw hit the ground when we pulled up to BEAUTIFUL Riverview Lodge. The first week together could not have been more perfect - the house is wonderful. The view of the river and mountains is breathtaking. We so enjoyed the walk down to the River, the Gazebo, the Train which we waved to and rode one day, hikes to nearby waterfalls, but most of all the relaxing peace and quiet, time together after waiting so patiently for it, are memories to be treaured forever. This truly was the perfect place to begin our new life together. Thank you for sharing your home with us. MI

We were truly blessed with a full week at Fallen Timber Lodge. Way more cabin than two people need, but everyone should have the opportunity to live like royalty at least once in their lives! The cabin itself is beautiful and reflects the care and style of its hosts, Gary and Lissa. The main floor is truly the heart of the the home. 90% of our time was spent in the living and the kitchen/dining area. The view cannot truly be put into words. From the river below, up through the trees, and into the skies above...well, you'll just have to put this hournal down and go see for yourself. Walk the railroad tracks, float down the river, explore downtown Blue Ridge, spend a day at the lake, or just sit bak and enjoy the view. Whatever you do, remember to count your blessings for the time you have while you are here. Thank, Gary and Lissa. Peacefully, The Warmerdams

Your place is so lovely - I'm so jealous that you get to live here! We had a wonderful stay, and everything was clean and beautiful. It certainly exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks so much - we hope to come back & bring more friends. This place rules! Thanks!

"A peaceful stay I did partake
In a lovely cabin o'erlooking a lake.
With birdsong trill to greet the day
I pondered, "Is there a better way"?
While waves of mountaintops filled my view,
The light of day painted different hues.
The Lake below me lay green and still,
With occasional ripples from a boater's thrill.
From my rocking chair I sought to find a way
To keep this peacefulness and try to stay.
But alas, tomorrows always come,
And my other life beckons me to home.
So I will soon be on my way,
With memories of this wonderful day...
Of the peaceful stay I did partake
In a lovely cabin named Majestic Lake".

I'm the one who should be thanking you for sharing such a fantastic place.  I have already told many people about it, and if anyone mentions going on a vacation, I'm ready to point them in your direction.  Honestly, the cabin could not be more perfect.  When we were looking for a cabin to rent, we were overwhelmed with the choices, just in North Ga alone.  But when we came across yours, the decision was quick. Thanks again, S.C., Athens, GA

This our second trip with Cabin Rentals of Georgia, the first to this cabin, Fallen Timber Lodge. It is just as beautiful as Riverview Lodge! The views and the quality of furnishings is beyond compare to other cabins we have rented. We are a group of retired Radiology Business Managers from GA, AL, and TN. We will plan many more trips here in the future. Where could you find a better place to visit, eat, eat, and visit?! We will always stay in one of Gary and Lissa's cabins and hope to try their others in the future. We dread leaving but, alas, we will be back soon.

We had such a wonderful time! Your house is beautiful, warm and comfortable. It's so peaceful here. The view is spectacular. We spent a day at Amicalola Falls which was a great hike. We spent a day at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, which was awesome. We also went to Ruby Falls that day which the kids enjoyed. We took a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and waved to the house as we went by! Our last day we went back to Chattanooga and rode the Tennessee Valley Railway (short ride) and then rode the Incline Railway, then visited the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel - great fun for train buffs! Our nights we spent in the hot tub, gazing at the stars. We slept great here, the beds are so comfortable! We greatly appreciate your allowing us to share your home. It is truly special here. Thank you for everything! IL.

My wife and I were in desperate need of a quiet tranquil and relaxing getaway. After we spent the first night at Five Peaks Cabin, I asked my wife if this was what she had expected, and she replied it was MORE! From antiquing in Blue Ridge to hiking the mountain we found a peace that words cannot explain. We plan to build a log home next year and found some great ideas here. The beds are wonderful and the view is great! This place is wonderful and we will recommend it and hope to stay again in the summer. The Armstrongs, KY

Gary and Lissa: What a great cabin! Ann Marie and I have spent three of the most relaxing days here at Riverview Lodge. We have basked in the quiet and serenity of this cabin and enjoyed the company of our best friends.... each other.

In this journal, we read about Alex proposing marriage to Allisa on the balcony with their best friends present. We've read about the Jackson, Wilson, Branch and Robinson families sharing Christmas 2006 here.

On the table is a basket of wine corks from other guests and friends. They contain messages from those who have been here at Riverview Lodge before us... and moments from the life of Gary and Lissa Knight.... the owners.

I suggest that you, the travelers follow in our wake, use this time to move closer to friends, family and God. Make a few memories to take on the quest, which is the rest of your life. Ann Marie and I made a fire by the gazebo, which sits along the banks of the Toccoa River, and shared several hours of conversation and hot tea.

Thank you to those who preceeded our vist and were kind enough to leave a message in this journal... and my thanks to those who follow and choose to do the same. Ann Marie and I will be visiting again and looking for your messages.

What a piece of heaven you have here at Riverview Lodge! The clouds rolling in below us, the beautiful sunsets, the sounds of the flowing river, the cozy feeling when it rains - we fell in love with your cabin! We planned morning activities (after coffee on the porch) and went rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking. We came back to relaxing afternoons - naps, reading, movies, board games and hot tub and then finished off the day with grilling out and several glasses of wine! It's been the PERFECT family vacation. Our kids are ready to move here!

Six moms from Atlanta were looking for the perfect weekend getaway....WE FOUND IT!
Plush beds, gourmet kitchen and breathtaking views are just a few of the extraordinary amenities found here at Fallen Timber Lodge. Now the question is, do we keep this our little secret or do we include our husbands next time??!!

Hurricane Francis gave us (more like, made us) take a little vacation, however when we got here we could not believe our eyes. BEAUTIFUL, BREATHTAKING, and INCREDIBLE. We realized after being here for just a day that we were not renting a cabin, but we were sharing Gary and Lissa’s Home and what an incredible home it is, a little piece of heaven in the mountains. I am impressed with every new discovery from the smallest things like the “Honey and Almonds” bath wash in the Master Bath to the wonderful antiques that Gary and Lissa have outfitted their home with. Tastefully decorated and the Media Room was awesome. Oh, and the movies that are stocked downstairs really helped. I have not seen at least 50% of them, and since I am not much into hiking, this was a dream come true! As I told our gracious host, the one word to describe this place is “WOW”! Thank you so much! FL

Thank you so much for allowing us to use this awesome cabin for our 2 year anniversary! We had a wonderful time at Five Peaks. Your cabins are so accommodating and we loved all the extras that ya'll had already provided for us. We'll be back for sure!

Family gatherings are very special to us since we are only able to do it twice a year. From AL, South Georgia and even all the way from Oregon, so this week in the mountains was very special. We have decided against the beach from now on - it's mountains, blue skies and water! Monday was the perfect lazy, rainy day. Tuesday was a day of fishing and exploring - the gazebo alone has inspired a backyard getaway reminder. Wednesday, July 4th, was a great day of BBQ, laughter and good food. Thursday was "venture day" from precious boutiques downtown, a record breaking round of golf at Butternut Creek - nice course in Blairsville, a three-year old's first catch with Daddy, and Baby's first wave - it was a blessed day. On Friday we put the "ad" in Adventure when seven of us went whitewater rafting and only three stayed in the boat for the entire trip!! "scars are tattoos with better stories"! That night we REALLY appreciated the hot tub. All in all the week was FULL of great food, memorable moments and family togetherness. Thanks, The Payton Family

The trees danced...we loved hiking down to the River and read our books and drank little bottles of Champagne. We hiked the Stanlely Gap Trail, ate at the Toccoa River Restaurant, we saw beautiful waterfalls and on Stanley Creek Road a beautiful deer jumped out in front of us. We bought apples pies and cider at Mercier's Orchard...wine from Out of the Blue in Blue Ridge...great smoked trout and filets from Enchanted Mountain Trout and Gourmet Meats in Morganton, and finally made it to the Swinging Bridge!! The hot tub at night was a God-send - every night the stars were amazing. We have found a getaway that is unsurpassed in every way. GA

Five Peaks Cabin was a great escape from the city for the weekend. The views off all the decks were amazing. The cabin was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. We loved that every amenity was provided, and all we had to do was sit back and relax. We will definitely be back. GA
