3rd - Firecracker Special Train Ride: Enjoy the fireworks and ride the Firecracker Special to McCaysville, no worries about where to park or sitting in traffic! Watch the fireworks from the comfort of your seat on the train or absorb the excitement around you by hanging out downtow. The fireworks are shot off from the top of Tater Hill outside out town, so can be viewed from anywhere in town. Train begins boarding at 7:00 and departs at 7:30 for a ride along the Toccoa River to McCaysville for the fireworks. Reservations are strongly suggested so you don't miss this awesome opportunity.

3rd - Fireworks, Independence Day Celebration: End of Blue Ridge Hwy (Hwy 5)
The TriCities Business Association continues a long standing Copper Basin tradition of celebrating our nation's independence with a fireworks display from the top of "Tater Hill" in McCaysville a half an hour past sunset (aproximately 9:30 pm). The fireworks can be seen from almost all areas of town. Stores & Restaurants will be open late. Other activities during the Independence Day weekend include an old fashioned street parade on Main Street in Ducktown, a Pancake Breakfast in Epworth and Miner's Homecoming activities all weekend.

4th, 7th, 8th, 14th, 21st & 28th - Live Music at Cartecay Vineyards: Cartecay Vineyards offers live music on Saturdays all spring, along with great wine and beautiful scenery. $13.00 includes live music, wine tasting and a Cartecay Vineyards wine glass. 5th - 22nd - Greater Tuna: Blue Ridge Community Theater is bringing Tuna back to Blue Ridge. With the talents of BT Bean and Bradley Bemboom, BRCT is bringing Greater Tuna back by popular demand as the People’s choice show in July. What do Arles Struvie, Thurston Wheelis, Aunt Pearl, Petey Fisk, Phineas Blye and Rev. Spikes have in common? In this hilarious send-up of small town morals and mores, they are all among the upstanding citizens of Tuna, Texas' third smallest town. The long-running Off Broadway hit features two actors creating the entire population of Tuna in a tour de farce of quick change artistry, changing costumes and characterizations faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. Grand opening and then each Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Local farmers set up with their crops for sale, farm fresh eggs, produce etc.... also locally made products and crafts. Vendors pay $3.00 for market space and they set their own prices for the items they sell.

20th - 29th - Georgia Mountain Fair: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Arts and crafts, regional food, Pioneer Village with living exhibits, country, bluegrass and gospel music by nationally known performers. There will be a parade with antique cars, clowns and more. 21st - 22nd - Butternut Creek Festival: Highway 515 West of Blairsville
14th annual festival. Hours are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on both days. The Butternut Creek Festival is one of the finest juried arts and crafts shows in the Southeast.
