| In 2006 Gary and Lissa Knight, owners and operators of BK Construction + Development, LLC, finally called Blue Ridge "home", after building a cabin rental business from Atlanta since 2003. Our aspirations to live in Blue Ridge, Georgia were realized so that we were finally able to partake of the indescribable beauty, peacefulness, serenity, and splendor of the North Georgia Mountains on a daily basis. It was also our desire to provide an environment for our children where they could enjoy all the outdoor activities the mountains offer, not to mention getting away from all the noise, stresses, and busyness of the city.
After building our first luxury log cabin in our portfolio, Majestic Lake Cabin, Gary was "bit" with the construction and development bug. Majestic Lake Cabin was supposed to be a weekend getaway cabin for our family, but with Gary's vision of greater things, we turned it into a rental cabin. We saw the huge potential in Blue Ridge for investment and growth, and with that vision Riverview Lodge became the second of many more luxury mountain homes yet to be constructed. To date (2009) Gary has built nine luxury mountain homes, eight of which are in our cabin rental portfolio. |

Given Gary's background as a successful professional and published architectural and interiors photographer for over 25 years, he puts that experience and knowledge into every log cabin and mountain lodge that he builds. With an eye for perfection and precision he is able to construct exquisite luxury mountain homes compatible with the landscape surrounding the homesite. His love of architecture and artistic sensibilities enable him to build one-of-a-kind log mountain homes with great attention to detail and superb quality. Guests who have stayed in our mountain homes consistently comment on the unique craftsmanship and incredible attention to detail that have gone into the construction of these lodges and cabins.
In addition to building custom mountain log homes and lodges, we own and manage Cabin Rentals of Georgia, along with other family members who maintain the accounting and bookkeeping, personally train our housekeeping staff, tend to the maintenance of each cabin, and who personally attend to each cabin's needs when they arise. |
