This 15-mile stretch of the Toccoa River has earned a reputation among anglers as one of the best trout rivers in North Georgia.

Shallowford Bridge - 7.9 miles south on Aska Road
Shallowford Bridge is an old one-lane bridge over the Toccoa River. You can fish under the bridge or along the dirt road to the right following the river on the Benton MacKaye Trail.

Horseshoe Bend Park is a beautiful park in McCaysville with good trout fishing on the Toccoa River. From Blue Ridge take Highway 515/76 east. Turn left onto Hwy 60 stay straight until you see River Road on your left. Turn left then drive a short distance to the Park. Horseshoe Bend Park offers a playground, picnic pavilions, and restrooms.
