North Georgia Family Vacation
Dear Gary, I wanted to share with you how excited the children are about spending the holidays in one of your cabins (homes). As you know this will break our family tradition since the passing of my wife last Christmas morning which is exactly what we all need, especially this year, and possibly for years to come. Allison has shared with me nothing but very flattering comments with regard to her communications with you both on the telephone and in emails. You have made this process for her and my family very pleasant and reassuring. She is a very organized and meticulous young lady and has a plan in place for our trip and our stay in your home. Thank YOU again for your kindness and this opportunity to rent one of your fabulous homes for our family to enjoy the holidays.
Renewing Wedding Vows In North Georgia
Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful cabin to make long-lasting memories, such as, our boys (9 and 11) hiking by the river and along the railroad and laying coins on the tracks for souveniers, and roasting marshmallows over a fire (kind of like camping with all the luxuries), and my husband and I renewing our wedding vows by the 2-story window - what a view!! It was great to finally use a CLEAN kitchen in a cabin! You would have never known others stayed here before. Hats off to the Cleaning Crew! The town of Blue Ridge should be grateful to people like you for making visitors want to come back and spend more m oney! I was inspired to write the following:
Humbled within this wondrous land,
For Fallen Timber, where dreams are planned.
River is rushing and leaves are falling,
My soul is free'd here by nature's calling.
Inspired by this vast array,
As star-filled nights fade to day.
To hear the train passing along the rails,
And to wander through the various trails.
A breathtaking view from windows in the treetops,
For just a moment, time will stop.
Being here within this beautiful land,
A dream of coming back is already planned.
North Georgia Mountain Retreat
The Forsyth County Hookers – We are a group of rug hookers mostly from GA that meet a few times each month. But a group of us decided to have a Hookers Retreat in the mountains. You have no idea the fun and jocularity that went on here this week! Not only was Fallen Timber exceptional, but the friendships and camaraderie that took place here was absolutely great. Although it rained for one complete day, we just sat in the living room with a fire going, talking, laughing, and hooking. We have already decided to continue this “tradition” and have another retreat in the spring. All of us truly had a wonderful time – enjoying each other as well as the craft that we are hoping will continue long after we are all gone. People should always remember how things were done in the past! Thank you.

Birthday Celebration In North Georgia
Hi Gary, I just returned from celebrating my 50th birthday in the amazing Fallen Timber Lodge. I can’t even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in that beautiful lodge. As you can see we have already reserved it again in September for another birthday. I will certainly share with my co-workers here at Delta what beautiful properties you have and hopefully steer some more business your way. Thanks again for everything and we look forward to our next visit. Saw my first snowfall at this cabin. Came with family and friends, went snowboarding, played pool…Thanks for the great memories. We all had a great vacation lounging around. Thank God I didn’t haven my baby after walking down to the river! Some of us saw snow for the first time, and some of us saw snow again, but 13 years later. Thanks for a great vacation.
