Basking In The Serenity Of North Georgia

What a great cabin! Ann Marie and I have spent three of the most relaxing days here at Riverview Lodge. We have basked in the quiet and serenity of this cabin and enjoyed the company of our best friends... each other. In this journal, we read about Alex proposing marriage to Allisa on the balcony with their best friends present. We've read about the Jackson, Wilson, Branch and Robinson families sharing Christmas 2006 here. On the table is a basket of wine corks from other guests and friends. They contain messages from those who have been here at Riverview Lodge before us... and moments form the life of Gary and Lissa Knight... the owners.I suggest that you, the travelers that follow in our wake, use this time to move closer to friends, family and God. Make a few memories to take on the quest, which is the rest of your life. Ann Marie and I made a fire by the gazebo, which sits along the banks of the Toccoa River, and shared several hours of conversation and hot tea. Thank you to those who proceeded our visit and were kind enough to leave a message in this journal... and choose to do the same. Ann Marie and I will be visiting again and looking for your messages.

North Georgia Offers Much For The Train Buffs

We had such a wonderful time! Your house is beautiful, warm and comfortable. It's so peaceful here. The view is spectacular. We spent a day at Amicalola Falls, which was a great hike. We spent a day at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, TN which was awesome. We also went to Ruby Falls, which the kids really enjoyed. We took a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and waved to Riverview Lodge as we rode by! Our last day we went back to Chattanooga and rode the Tennessee Valley Railway (short ride) then rode the incline railway, then visited the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel - great fun for the train buffs! Our nights we spent in the hot tub, gazing at the stars. We slept great here, the beds are so comfortable! We greatly appreciate you allowing us to share in your home! It's truly special here. Thank you for everything!

Admiring North Georgia's Beautiful Sunsets

The perfect weekend getaway from the city! The house is spectacular and exceeded our expectations! It was everything we could have hoped for and more. What a piece of heaven! The clouds rolling in below us, the beautiful sunsets, the sounds of the flowing river, the cozy feeling when it rains - we fell in love with your cabin! We planned morning activities (after coffee on the porch) and went horseback riding, and mountain biking. We came back to relaxing afternoons - naps, reading, movies, board games and the hot tub. We finished off the day with grilling out and several glasses of wine. It has been the PERFECT family vacation! Our kids are ready to move here.

Hiking In The North Georgia Mountains

Sunday night... the trees danced... We love hiking down to the river and reading our books and drinking little bottles of champagne. We hiked the Stanley Gap Trail and by the Toccoa River Restaurant. We saw beautiful waterfalls and on Stanley Creek Road a beautiful deer jumped out in front of us. We bought apples from Mercier Orchards, wine from Out of the Blue in Blue Ridge, saw three deer on Hwy. 60 near Deep Gap. The hot tub was great. Wednesday night the stars were amazing. We ate great smoked trout from Enchanted Mountain Trout and Gourmet Meats from Butcher Tom in Morganton, along with smoked cheddar cheese, crackers, and white wine. Regina is so cute in overalls. Listened to Otis Redding, Jarvis, early Tina our last night. Finally made it to the swinging bridge!!! Had a great time! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Warm Memories Made With A Romantic North Georgia Getaway

This is a wonderful cabin that has given us many warm memories that we will cherish for years to come. There were so many times that we sat and lounged and thought what a perfect place this is, and how we could imagine calling it home. This was the romantic getaway that they make movies out of. While here, we played games, cuddled, had a personal massage at the cabin, and endless times staring adoringly into each other's eyes while in the hot tub. Thank you for this wonderful cabin and great experience. There was no better place to celebrate our first anniversary!
