What a glorious time we had at your lovely home! This has been a retreat and reunion of hearts and souls of four high school friends with spouses and with our Bible Study leader from 36 years ago. Our prayer service around the fireplace was so inspiring. We hope to return again – love the views, the Toccoa River, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway passing and the awesome beds and linens! Reunion In North Georgia

My friends and I had a wonderful reunion and can't wait to have another. When it has been 35 plus years there is a lot of catching up to do! The cabin is beautiful; you and your team did a fantastic job. The only possible thing we could have asked for would be a couple of more chairs for our group of nine. We loved the table! Beautiful. We enjoyed everything, including the rain, the leaves changing color before our eyes and the train passing by which was an unexpected delight. We are already thinking we will return next fall. By the way, we appreciated the cleanliness so much. It is hard to tell when you only have pictures but your website is true to its word. I will definitely recommend your cabins to others. Thanks for everything.

Enjoying North Georgias' Fall Splendor

Just had to leave a note to say thank you for such a beautiful place. The drive in was engaging to say the least! But fun! We have been in mid-Florida for almost 10 years and were really needing to connect to the fall colors and cool air again…With most of our family here, my cousin and I snuck out for a few hours and took in the orchard just down the road. We were completely amazed at all the variety there. Then we headed to Blue Ridge to shop a little…we had a blast! We will have to come again sometimes – some of our crew had the flu and stayed home but my husband got here and was sick the whole weekend. He still has enjoyed the visit though. He is a teacher and enjoyed the getaway! Thanks again!

Family Vacation In The North Georgia Mountains

The Collins, Stokes, and Wright Family Vacation – AWE…some! Thank you for an awesome vision for Family Retreats. We were so amazed at such a beautiful home - the perfect place for my husband, our two daughters and two sons. It was truly worth the 10-hour drive! We were dazzled by the three stories – upstairs was perfect for my husband and I, my oldest daughter and her husband, and my 92 year old grandfather. The bottom level was perfect for my daughter and her husband with the twin beds – perfect! The pool table was enjoyed by all. The kitchen was my stay for breakfast and dinner and thank you for the nice grill – I’ve mastered the same one at home! WE found so much peace, love, and excitement here. It allowed us to bond. We enjoyed prayer and Bible Study everyday. We certainly have decided to come back for our next family vacation. I’ve finally fulfilled my fantasy – just the snow was missing and I didn’t get to light the fireplace. Everything I needed to prepare dinner for my family was supplied. Thank you, Gary and Lissa.

Hiking In The North Georgia Mountains

Thank you all for taking such good care of this cabin. Our family really appreciates cleanliness and The River’s Edge sure met our standards! The view is spectacular. We had perfect weather. Our mornings were in the 70’s and afternoons 90’s, but there was always a nice breeze. We traveled to Six Flags Waterpark one day and everyone had a blast. We went to Funworld today. If you have kids, this place is highly recommended. We had a total of 7 adults and 7 kids. We also enjoyed picking blackberries all around and they’re very tasty and safe to eat! We enjoyed roasting marshmallows, catching lightning bugs, and playing games together. We did some hiking and enjoyed the scenery of the North Georgia Mountains so much. The love and peace of God was with us always. May God bless The River’s Edge and all its guests forever.
