1.) First and foremost, Secure the cabin.
Once you've established the location of your visit to Blue Ridge, the real fun begins: the reality of crossing off summer bucket list ideas. More of a thrill seeker? Picking a cabin in the Aska Adventure Area - much like the pictured Above the Timberline - places you right in the heart of the liveliest area in the North Georgia Mountains.

2.) Consider all the possibilities of things to do this summer 2022!
In Aska, there are countless activities like seeking out all the waterfalls near Blue Ridge, GA: Fall Branch Falls, Long Creek Falls, Ravens Cliff Falls, Toccoa Falls, and Amicalola Falls are a few, or hiking the falls trails to Springer Mountain, catching fish or tubing in the Toccoa River. Once you get back from the base of the falls, take it easy or get the kids involved by taking them to the Lilly Pad Village, a family-friendly affair for turning tots on to the outdoors - activities like Gem Mining, fishing mini golf, and a picturesque 1/3 acre pond stocked with catfish, brim and bass. The Village certainly brings a community together to celebrate the fun of the natural world. Fortunately, the great outdoors provides family-friendly things to do and typically free things to do in Blue Ridge, GA - aside from the gas tank and realm of possibilities.

3.) Refuel after your beautiful waterfall adventure.
End the Waterfalls Near Blue Ridge, Georgia journey with some amazing local food and grabbing loose ends at Van Zandt's Grill and Grocery, a locally-owned business that offers tubing services, a breakfast and lunch grill from 7 am to 3 pm, as well as cabin essentials and souvenirs.

Family Things to Do in Blue Ridge, GA

1.) Find the cabin that fits your family - and their needs.
Do you have a family or group on the larger side, with multiple heads for multiple beds? Fear not; we have larger cabins that can sleep up to 16 people and large cabins side by side to fit your group. These cabins are just under 15 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, yet remote enough along the Toccoa River to give you that faraway mountain feeling.

2.) Cultivate summer things to do with friends and family:
Fun Blue Ridge Georgia events and experiences are visiting orchards - Mercier Orchards is very close to our Toccoa River Cabin Rentals - an orchard that grows fruits from blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and apples. And if this didn't get you your pickin' fix, we can title our bucket list "Summer Things to Do Near Blue Ridge, GA," and make the day out of it by checking off all the fun outdoor adventures in Blue Ridge. Swan Drive-In is a family-owned and locally operated drive-in that plays current films.

Downtown Blue Ridge offers fun things for teens and kids ~ check out Huck's General Store for old-fashioned candies, T-shirts, and souvenirs. Check out 2nd Story Entertainment for miniature golf meandering through rooms of a 110-year-old hotel, Mountain Man Comics, Deaf Man Vinyls, Axe Throwing Therapy, Vertigo Pinball, and more. You could easily spend the whole day in Downtown.

Things to Do In Summer with a Teenager or Young Adult

1.) Find a cabin to provide enough space to have privacy but cultivate intimacy.
The Blue Ridge Mountains are perfect for turning off and tuning into one another. By finding a home with inviting areas like The Rivers Edge's open-air floorplan - a kitchen made for conversation - cultivating and restoring a relationship has never been easier. Bonds will be strengthened by quality time, intentional, experiential living, and free summer things to do.

2.) Better yet, take it back to basics.
Being on the Toccoa River, this cabin allows you to create an experience that can be attached to the environment itself. Bring your tubes to the Toccoa River right from the property. Float for a couple of hours into McCaysville and pick them up at Horseshoe Bend Park. You can get with an outfitter to set up private, guided fly-fishing tours - like Joe DiPietro with North Georgia Trout Fishing. Otherwise, drive with the windows down on some backroads to face your fears with the swinging bridge - a 265-foot bridge, the longest east of the Mississippi. If getting in the water isn't your thing, treat the highest level of the terrace like an observation deck and get lost in the ridges of the mountains.

3.) End the weekend with brunch.
After spending the weekend building bonds and creating memories that will last a lifetime, conclude your weekend in Blue Ridge the right way. Check out the many foodie restaurants in Downtown Blue Ridge to cap off your weekend.

Spending summertime in Blue Ridge will be one of the best things you ever did and the memories you create will be forever.
