Six of us (3 couples) stayed at this property from 12/23 to 12/28/17 and it was amazing. The cabin was decorated beautifully for Christmas and even had a small tree which was a lovely touch. The river rock accents throughout the cabin are amazing, especially in the bathrooms where you felt like you were taking a shower in a waterfall. We had plenty of room - each of us had our own floor and bathroom - which gave us all privacy if we wanted. We played games downstairs, enjoyed the hot tub and thoroughly relaxed. We had plenty of hot water & the washer/dryer came in very handy. We did a fair bit of cooking and I have to comment on how well the kitchen was stocked with dishes, pans, platters, appliances, etc. There was both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker, lots of Tupperware & serving bowls and everything else you can think of. We enjoyed the patio fireplace and the quietness of the area. We did lots of exploring, hiking, shopping & eating and the cabin location, although a little far from downtown, was within easy driving distance from everything. I would highly recommend this cabin - it was clean upon arrival and we did not experience any issues. One note, it is a little hard to find so make sure you follow the directions from the owners. This week has gone by so fast-this was our 2nd time at Blue Ridge, and it has become our vacation spot of choice. Last time we came it was in January, and the winter was beautiful; however, in the summertime there is so much more to do. Our favorite lunch spot is the L&L Beanery located downtown in the business district. Try their tomato Basil Soup - it's amazing. We went gem mining at a few locations, found some rubies and sapphires. We also went tubing down the Toccoa River, where we just dodged a thunderstorm that day and had beautiful sun. The tubing lasted about 1.5 hours. On our last day when we had beautiful weather in the 80's, we rented a boat on Lake Blue Ridge and pulled a tube on the back while hitting some big waves! A perfect day to eat lunch on a boat and soak up the sun like we do in South Florida. Great week and Thank you for everything. See you again in a few months! |
