Delightful Mountain RetreatThis was our family celebration of Sarah's 70th birthday! We love traveling together and making our birthdays very special and unusual occasions. All of our moments together were special . . . "Sanctuary" is a perfect word for this delightful mountain retreat—the perfect cabin to celebrate our sweet Sarah's birthday. We glowed and sparkled and watched and cheered the first triple crown winner in 31 years! Woohoo! Our journey to this cabin began because of a wonderful friend who rented this cabin for me, my husband, my brother and his wife. Our friend was with us when we found out my husband was very sick with cancer. He wanted my husband to enjoy some time away before he began his... Our journey to this cabin began because of a wonderful friend who rented this cabin for me, my husband, my brother and his wife. Our friend was with us when we found out my husband was very sick with cancer. He wanted my husband to enjoy some time away before he began his treatment. As we arrived, we saw the groundhog run under the house. We saw him one other time, then never saw him again. If was cold the first day we arrived, so we went to Walmart and bought a few things to eat and some fire starter. My brother started up the wood stove in the living room and we were nice and cozy. The cabin was nice. We all got much-needed rest. The boys fished, watched TV and fished some more. We enjoyed coffee outside every morning and eating breakfast at noon. We enjoyed the scenery and each other’s company. We were so thankful for out time here and we will always and forever cherish the memories we made here. This was just one more we will have to reflect and smile upon. We are so thankful. |
