Our family came to Outlaw Ridge and Riverview Lodge for a nice little family reunion along the Toccoa River. It ended up being more than we could have imagined. The cabins are amazing and the memories we made will be with us forever. We’d definitely love to come back....
Home had everything we expected and more.My wife and I booked the home for the privacy and the location. We live in Miami and just wanted to get away for a week. We did not need a home that sleeps 6, but we booked the Hidden Valley lodge based on the looks of the cabin, description and the location. The home is only 10 minutes from Ellijay and 20 minutes from Blue Ridge. We planned on cooking most of our dinners at the cabin so most of our time was spent there except for a couple of meals in Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the back deck at night with a fire going. The fire place in the living room also got used every night. The cabin was easy to get there and you do not need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill. There is a creek within walking distance from the cabin which became a good destination for one of our many morning walks. The kitchen had everything you need for meals at home and the bed was very comfortable. For those that want to watch tv, there are plenty of channels to watch. Besides the morning news, the TV was rarely used. Getting there: I used Waze and it mirrored the separate directions they sent us.

Also, pretty cool that the train runs along the river. Access through the front door was easy with the code we were provided. Settling in: unlike most cabins, every room in this cabin had an en suite bathroom. So, our friends could pick from any room. Speaking of stairs, our friends walked down to the water. From the cabin you go down some stairs, walk a switchback, then hit some more stairs. Even so, we enjoyed the fire in the cabin and on the back deck. What we did: first, we cooked a lot in what may be the largest cabin kitchen I’ve ever seen. Also, the dining table was a great size for our meals and card games. We spent a day in downtown Blue Ridge. Get there early and check out all the shops. We watched the sun set over the mountains every day. Amazing! |
