Welcome to a Happy Place

We watched the sunrise, saw the leaves change to sunflower yellow, then fire engine red and pumpkin orange. We gathered nuts and cracked them open and explored their many uses. Watched a spider weave her new web, listened to geese honk and a woodpecker tapping, crickets chirp, waved and flattened pennies as the train went by, hiked to a waterfall and went to a pet parade. We also roasted marshmallows and ate sticky s’mores, spotted two deer and just enjoyed being together. Some places we recommend are Chester’s, Joe’s BBQ diner (juicy burgers, homemade cakes and no-fat fudge) just kidding! We also loved the views at the cabin and just watching the childrens happy faces. Our favorite memory at the cabin is making pancakes and climbing down to the lake and sitting at the fireplaces. We also collected leaves, went on a tractor ride, pet alpacas, horses and dogs in downtown Blue Ridge. The grown-ups enjoyed playing scrabble, drinking wine and rum-apple cider, and relishing the peace and quiet when the sweeties were in bed and delighting in them when they were awake!

My mama was raised in the mountains so I figure its in my blood, I feel very content and stress free here. This is a lovely cabin with a beautiful view. We voted it our best stay in years we have been coming. If you're reading this, welcome to a happy place.
