This Cabin Touched Our Hearts!What a great cabin to come to and get away from our busy lives. Sometimes amidst the crazy lives, yet wonderful, that God has given us, we forget what comfort our families bring to us! Being in this cabin throughout these days, we have enjoyed, laughed, and have remembered what our family has achieved in our 16 years of marriage. On a different note, we caught our first carp and enjoyed every minute of it! Alas, the things we could've done that we are now out of time to do! Henceforth, I decree, we will read the guestbook at all future vacation rentals BEFORE the day of our departure! Still, we enjoyed our stay in the Blue Ridge Mountains to the utmost. Things we did: - Hiked the last two miles of the Appalachian Trail - Enjoyed amazing food at The Butcher and Bottle (Ellijay), Chesters, General Ledgers (make reservations to eat in the vault!), The Vine (wine tasting, music, and charcuterie!), The Sweet Shoppe, and Harvest on Main (Best mulled wine this side of the Mississippi) - Visited Mountain Man Comics - Escape Blue Ridge: We made it it through two escape rooms with time to spare! - Mercier Orchards: Go for the atmosphere! Things we wish we did more of: - Enjoy the outdoor deck and fireplace in the two hours before and immediately moments after susnset. It was glorious! Final Thoughts: We had a wonderful time! For the record, the ladies won the game of Sorry... Twice! Enjoy your stay here future visitors! Big thanks to our gracious hosts. You have a lovely home!
Our whole family gathered here for my brother's 30th birthday. The cabin was just stunning! There was record snowfall prior to our visit, so the landscape was painted white with several inches for our entire 4 day weekend! We spent the weekend full of fun, laughter and... There was record snowfall prior to our visit, so the landscape was painted white with several inches for our entire 4 day weekend! We spent the weekend full of fun, laughter and making memories! The fire was always going to contrast the white landscape! We ate great food, walked down to the river where we made s'mores at a bonfire! What a joyous time for our family! Made tons of memories! From the hot tub to nightly games of loud Apples to Apples, our family filled this cabin. Enjoy to the fullest as we have! |
