  Chateau Meichtry Family Vineyards and WineryWineries-Vineyards  We are a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The rolling hills provide a perfect location for growing quality wine grapes. We invite you to come out for a tasting or a glass while enjoying the beautiful scenery, and on weekends, enjoy live music entertainment from a great array of Georgia musicians. Chateau Meichtry TOURS Tours are offered every Saturday & Sunday, by reservation only. Tours are $30 per person, and include a tasting of 5 wines beginning in the tasting room, a glass of your favorite wine to take with you on the walking tour of the vineyard & winery & a souvenir Riedel glass to take home with you! Tours start at 12:30 on both Saturday & Sunday and take about an hour & a half to complete. TASTING ROOM They can be reserved by calling us in the tasting room at 706-502-1608. The tasting room is open 7 days a week, Monday - Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12:30 - 5:30 p.m. No reservations are required to visit the tasting room, although advance notice for large groups of 10 or more is appreciated. We offer three different tasting options. 1.) Try any 5 wines for $8. 2.) Try any 6 wines & finish with a double pour of wine in a chocolate cup for $12. 3.) Try any 5 wines & keep your souvenir Chateau Meichtry engraved Riedel glass for $18. You can also purchase wine by the glass, or by the bottle. We have live music every Saturday & Sunday, year round, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. both days! We sell cheeses, salami, proscutto, crackers & cheese straws, a la' carte, but you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. We have indoor & outdoor seating available, and is always first come, first serve. We had a wonderful time! Photos do not do this beautiful cabin justice. The cabin is huge with three levels with spacious decks overlooking the river. We were traveling with two families and teenagers, and there was plenty for them to do ~ Game room with pool... We had a wonderful time! Photos do not do this beautiful cabin justice. We were traveling with two families and teenagers, and there was plenty for them to do ~ Game room with pool table, arcade, and TV, exploring the river and train tracks. Kitchen is well stocked. The management company also responded quickly and gave us suggestions for rainy days. I would definitely recommend this cabin and this company to those looking for a very special experience. |
