Water Activities

There are plenty of places in Blue Ridge for you to get your fill of fun water activities. The beautiful Toccoa River offers perfect, clear waters for rafting, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. Also popular is whitewater rafting on the exciting Ocoee River, compliments of the Ocoee Whitewater Center at the site of the 1996 Summer Olympics. And don't forget the beautiful Lake Blue Ridge, where visitor often enjoy pontooning and jet skiing.

From the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains to the Chattahoochee National Forest, Blue Ridge is truly a nature-lover's paradise. Hike the famous Benton-MacKaye Trail, or trek out to see stunning waterfalls. (Our favorites are Long Creek Falls and Fall Branch Falls!) Anywhere you turn, you'll see that Mother Nature knows best.

Getting a taste of local cuisine is a must-do when you visit Blue Ridge, and with all the restaurants downtown, you might just have to make more than one trip! Visit the famous Harvest on Main for delicious southern treats, or check out Chester's, one of our newest popular bar and grill spots. And don't miss out on giving our area vineyards a try! Serenberry Vineyards is just a quick trip away, and there are plenty of nearby wineries and vineyards that make perfect day trips!
