Water Activities in Blue Ridge, GA

Summertime is here, and the waters of Blue Ridge are calling you. Whether you are looking for a thrilling adventure or a relaxing float, you will be able to find your perfect adventure with us at Cabin Rentals of Georgia. Find yourself whitewater rafting in and around the Blue Ridge area, experiencing the power of our waterways, or leisurely floating along the Toccoa River.  At the end of the day, enjoy relaxing in your luxury Blue Ridge cabin rental specific to your tastes.

Lake Blue Ridge

For those seeking sun, leisure, and fun, spend a memorable day on the fresh, sparkling blue-green waters of Lake Blue Ridge. Pontoon rentals, along with canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and paddle boards, are available and so worth the experience! Surrounded by a national forest, Lake Blue Ridge offers some of the most pristine waters in North Georgia. Along the way, enjoy the Boat Dock Bar and Grill at the Lake Blue Ridge Marina with a full-service menu/exotic drinks for some mid-day lunch or evening dinner.

Exclusive Private Float on the Toccoa River

When you stay at any of our Toccoa River cabin rentals, such as  Riverview Lodge, Outlaw Ridge, Fallen Timber Lodge, A Rolling River Cabin, or The River's Edge, be sure to bring your own tube ($5 at Walmart) and put in on the river. You will experience an awesome 2-hour float into Horseshoe Bend Park, which is outside of McCaysville.  Have someone in your party pick you up, which is a short 10-minute drive from those cabins.  This is one of our favorite summertime activities from your own cabin!

Tubing

Imagine a leisurely float down the river on a sunny afternoon, a cold beverage in hand and not a care in the world. The quiet current carries you and your party along the river with beautiful sights of big boulders, rhododendrons, mountain laurels, and shade trees. Experience these leisurely floats from one of our local Blue Ridge outfitters that offer tubing. You can find a company like the Toccoa Valley Campground, which is one of our favorites, that offers daily tubing for those who want to take it easy and enjoy the refreshing river in a relaxed environment.

Rafting

For an exhilarating day of adventure and thrills, head to the Ocoee Whitewater Center, just 30 minutes from Blue Ridge, GA. The site of the 1996 Summer Olympics, this special place has it all - Class II-IV rapids, hiking paths, bicycle paths, picnic areas, and a gift shop. Rolling Thunder River Company is a very popular whitewater outfitter that offers memorable trips down the Ocoee River. Maneuver through rapids and narrow waterways in a daring adventure that will get your heart pumping. Use your paddles and work as a team to navigate the obstacles and endure the fury of the Ocoee River.

Kayaking And Canoes

Another fun way to experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge area is by rowing down the Toccoa River. Move through the bends and excluded regions of the mountains in a kayak, funyak, or canoe. You can make your way through calm waters or discover faster-moving areas for a bit of challenging fun. Jon Ron Toccoa River Outfitters will provide you with watercraft to fit the experience you are seeking for the perfect day on the water.

Boating

Spend a day on the beautiful turquoise waters of Lake Blue Ridge and experience beauty like you've never seen before. Rent a pontoon boat from the Lake Blue Ridge Marina or a paddle board from Lake Blue Ridge Outfitters and explore all the coves and inlets of Lake Blue Ridge.

Fishing

Blue Ridge is the Trout Capital of Georgia, and for good reason! Rivers and streams abound in these North GA mountains, and that means plenty of trophy rainbow trout and brownies. We have partnered with North GA Trout Fishing and they can give you the experience of a lifetime as you catch monster bows and browns.
