Breathtaking CabinAs we walked into the cabin it took our breathe away, just as it stated it would. Wow! Tiffany Lamps, huge kitchen, gorgeous beddings, we were ecstatic. A true joy it was. We immediately selected our rooms and put our belongings in them and beginner first day task- Cook Out! Man- did we cook…from grilled steaks, chicken, links, brautwarst to greens, cornbread, potato salad, toss salad, green beans and the best sweet potato pies my mom makes. Yum! Yum! …its on now! After such a wonderful meal, we decided to play pool, cards and dominoes. It was midnight when we realized we had been indulged for hours. Wow! We had gotten so relaxed and were having so much fun! By 1:00 a.m the fun had to come to an end because we had one more full day and a lot to cram in that day. 8:00 am and half of the guests were already in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Bacon,eggs,grits and biscuits covered our plates. By 9, we were sitting down to the delicious breakfast realizing how blessed we are to be apart of Gods creation like this. We were reflecting on the beauty around us…to look out the windows from the North, South, East and West and discovering the beauty was amazing. After our breakfast we gathered up for our drive to Atlanta to see the Martin Luther Kings Jr. historical site and what a site it was. Once we got back we sat around the campfire and telling stories. We ate, laughed, sang and cried. Most of us enjoyed each other and will cherish our time here @ Fallen Timber forever. God is Awesome! It has truly been a pleasure staying here. Last summer, we rented a different house in Blue Ridge and we liked the town so much that we decided to come back this year again. We are extremely concerned with cleanliness, but with this house there was not a single issue. Everything was perfect and clean. The view from every room is breathtaking. We stayed with my two kids, which are 18 and 14, and my parents-in-law. It was the best relaxing week. My wife and in-laws are already planning another trip to Blue Ridge again. I highly recommend this property!!! We spent the first weekend in August at Cherokee Sunrise as recommended as one of the agent's favorite properties and we were so pleased! The 100 year old cabin was beautifully refurbished with modern appliances and beautiful decor; the pond out front provided a lovely view... The 100 year old cabin was beautifully refurbished with modern appliances and beautiful decor; the pond out front provided a lovely view from the screened front porch as did the field that served as the front yard; a doe and fawn visited us each morning and evening with the only sound being the bubbling of the spring feeding into the pond. A short walk led to the banks of the Noontootla where we enjoyed a swing over the water and a gazebo on the creekbank. We hiked the nearby Aska Trails and spent an afternnoon paddling Lake Blue Ridge, all in close proximity to this lovely homestead. We slept well in the comfy, spacious bed after long days of enjoying all the area has to offer - good restaurants, great outdoors, wildlife, quaint towns. I wish we had stayed a whole week; a weekend left us wanting more. |
