Activities Memorable Stay My girlfriend and I spent a week here and wish we could of stayed longer! The house, the views, the fireplace, comfy beds, and the warm feeling home made for a very memorable time for us both! We went on a few hikes, kayaking, saw a few waterfalls and then horseback riding. Ate at a bunch of great restaurants and one of our favorite activities was white water rafting with RaftOne. Memorial Day Weekend in Blue Ridge, GA The Suarez-Richards Fmaily had a wonderful long weekend in this beautiful Blue Ridge cabin! it was everything it promsed and more! We have stayed at many luxury cabin rentals over the years and I must say, this one was by far the most elegant and well-appointed. During our stay we celebrated my daughter's 5th grade graduation, my brother's birthday, and Memorial Day and the memories we made will live in my heart for years! We hope to be back soon! Memorial Weekend In North Georgia Memorial Weekend 2008. Grandma came to visit from New York, so we thought we would leave Atlanta and enjoy the mountains. We loved this cabin, although we had to explain to our five year old that "this was mom's style of camping." He was expecting a "tent with sleeping bags." His disappointment was quickly forgotten once he boarded the Blue Ridge train! Looking forward to another visit again soon. Ann Marie and I have spent three of the most relaxing days here at Riverview Lodge. We have basked in the quiet and serenity of this cabin and enjoyed the company of our best friends... each other. In this journal, we read about Alex proposing marriage to Allisa on the balcony with their best friends present. We've read about the Jackson, Wilson, Branch and Robinson families sharing Christmases here. On the table is a basket of wine corks from other guests and friends. They contain messages from those who have been here at Riverview Lodge before us... and moments from the life of Gary and Lissa Knight... the owners. I suggest that you, the travelers that follow in our wake, use this time to move closer to friends, family and God. Make a few memories to take on the quest, which is the rest of your life. Ann Marie and I made a fire by the gazebo, which sits along the banks of the Toccoa River, and shared several hours of conversation and hot tea. Fished, played in the river, went hiking, enjoyed the night sky with shooting stars. We waved at the train every morning and afternoon and hot tubbing! Visited the Swan Drive-In. Gary was a pleasure to meet. We saw deer, turkey, bats, butterflies, hummingbirds, a stunning gecko and a happy orange cat.
