Activities

This was our first trip to the Blue Ridge area, and we found it to be beautiful! It reminded us of our home state of Wisconsin - but even more beautiful wit the mountains and the winding roads. We loved the cabin! It was exactly what we were looking for - a peaceful home away from home. There was a place for everyone to get away and spend some quality "quiet" time with our Creator. Our 13 year old son is now a pool shark and our 11, 7, and 2 year old daughters LOVED building dams in the creek. Our 7-month old baby just enjoyed the fresh air and pitch dark room at night! We took several nightly drives down Hwy 60 looking for wild life and 8:00 seemed to be the magic hour for deer! There was so much to do and explore - we can't wait to come again! We loved the cabin. Everything was super clean and peaceful. It makes us want to go home and build our own. But until then, we will for sure come back for another stay. 

The cabin was exceedingly well-appointed. The rustic decor was tasteful and uncluttered. The appliances, bathrooms, and thermostat were current, appearing new. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, from spices to wine glasses with and without stems. The bathrooms were spacious with fluffy towels and a few toiletries. Too many unexpected touches to list. Surpassed expectations. Graceful and cozy. Just perfect.

We had a fantastic time. The view is spectacular! The cabin is so beautiful and tranquil. My husband surprised me with a surprise weekend getaway here. It was wonderful to hike around the trails. Twin Branch Falls and the 270' suspension bridge were breathtaking. We also tried the different cuisine. We really recommend the Cucina Rustica and the Toccoa River House. The best cafe we've ever been to was the Lilly Pad Cafe. Thank you so much for such a lovely time. We will definitely be back to try the scenic railroad tour and spend some time in the mountains.
