Brasstown Bald is the highest point in the U.S. state of Georgia, reaching an elevation of 4,784 feet (1,457 meters) above sea level. It's located in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest near the town of Blairsville, not far from Blue Ridge. Brasstown Bald is a popular destination for visitors and hikers due to its stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Appalachian Mountains and valleys. You can even see Atlanta, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee from these heights!

To reach the summit of Brasstown Bald, visitors can either take a 0.6-mile trail from the parking area or a bus to an observation tower. 

From Blairsville, Georgia take US 19 & 129 south for 8 miles.

Turn left (east) onto Georgia 180.

Go 9 miles to Georgia Spur 180 and turn left (north).

Go 3 miles to the Brasstown Bald parking lot.
