Fallen Timber Lodge, a luxury Blue Ridge cabin rental in close proximity to Riverview Lodge, Outlaw Ridge (and 1/4 mile away from The River's Edge and A Rolling River Cabin), is perfectly suited for family reunions and business retreats. Fallen Timber Lodge, a large 5-bedroom cabin for rent, is luxuriously appointed with a refined interior offering lofty views of the Toccoa River and Blue Ridge Mountains.
Carved into a gentle hillside overlooking the big waters of the Toccoa River and the Cherokee Indian Fish Trap, revel in the beauty of the area with flora covering the many fallen timbers that once stood tall. Offering majestic views of the river and mountainside, you will feel the pull of the Toccoa River beckoning you to release all your cares to the gentle mountain breezes and float away.
Blue Ridge Activities
As you sit on the covered porches of this cabin, you can hear the rushing waters of the Toccoa River, view the Cherokee Indian Fish Trap where the Indians caught their trout long ago, and wave to the passengers on the Blue Ridge Scenic Train as it passes by very slowly.
Enjoy a gently sloping hiking path to the river's edge, where you can enjoy over 700 feet of river frontage. Relax by the river in front of the firepit under a pergola, listening to the river rush by on its northward trek into Tennessee, where it will become the Ocoee River. Put in a tube or lightweight kayak and enjoy a two-hour float into McCaysville.
Located just 15 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, you can experience all the adventures the North Georgia Mountains offers, from ziplining, horseback riding, and waterfall hikes to shopping, dining, and wineries/breweries.
For an exhilarating experience, you are just 30 minutes away from the popular Ocoee Olympic Whitewater Center, where a whitewater rafting trip will leave you breathless. For a slower-paced experience, Blue Ridge is the Trout Capital of Georgia, and fly-fishing the Toccoa River will be an experience you won't forget.

The Fallen Timber Lodge was a fantastic house to spend time together with friends. It provided a large living area outside and inside to enjoy visiting with each other. The views are outstanding and can be accessed both inside the home and along the large outside porch area. We had 8 persons sharing the space and it was quite spacious. The amenities in the home were great, we were able to cook/grill dinner with ease. The surrounding area was quiet and the river access was an added bonus. We were also able to enjoy the hot tub and pool table to pass the time together. So many choices to eat and visit in Blue Ridge which are within 15 minute drive from the home.

The Forsyth County Hookers – We are a group of rug hookers mostly from GA that meet a few times each month. But a group of us decided to have a Hookers Retreat in the mountains. You have no idea the fun and jocularity that went on here this week! Not only was Fallen Timber exceptional, but the friendships and camaraderie that took place here was absolutely great. Although it rained for one complete day, we just sat in the living room with a fire going, talking, laughing, and hooking. We have already decided to continue this “tradition” and have another retreat in the spring. All of us truly had a wonderful time – enjoying each other as well as the craft that we are hoping will continue long after we are all gone. People should always remember how things were done in the past! Thank you. The Hookers of GA!
