Rekindle your relationship with a weekend getaway to the North Georgia Mountains! Whether you're celebrating your anniversary, birthday, or engagement or just need time away from the hustle and bustle, Blue Ridge is the perfect place for couples to spend some quality time together. Here are a few suggestions to build that bonding experience with your significant other in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains: First Day:We all know that any trip over an hour in the car tends to lead to conversations that we otherwise wouldn’t have. As you and your loved one arrive in Blue Ridge, head straight to your luxury cabin (Cohutta Sunset, Cherokee Sunrise, and Aska Escape Lodge are just a few of our favorite romantic cabins) and check in to your home away from home. After settling in, get a pizza to-go from Mystic Mountain Pizza and spend the evening cuddling by a fire and watching a movie. From there, top off the evening by soaking away your cares in the hot tub. Second Day:Waking up refreshed and ready to share experiences with your partner, start your day off with a refreshing coffee creation from Mountain Mama's Lounge! Their syrups and baked goods are all fresh and homemade, so enjoy a peaceful ambiance and some refreshments before enjoying the rest of your day. For those who seek some adventure, take a zip-lining tour with Blue Ridge Zip Line Canopy Tours; adrenaline excursions always have a way of bringing out the best in us! Maybe even conquer a little fear or share a learning opportunity together. The property is what distinguishes a good zip line course, and the 165-acre tract of land that Blue Ridge Zipline Canopy Tours flows through is some of North Georgia's best. The course has over 6,000 feet of cable, allowing participants to zip-line over a mile of Blue Ridge's beautiful mountains. You'll experience the mountains from the treetops, zip into the valley, soar over pastures, and cross over Fightingtown Creek. For a stellar meal to close out your day, visit Poke Jon's for a poke bowls made with the freshest ingredients. While there, enjoy the hip environment while savoring your food (and perhaps a craft cocktail). To wind down for the evening, enjoy some card or board games at one of the game tables in your luxury cabins. Our homes are stocked with a variety of options, so break out the laughs and competitive spirit during your North Georgia! Third-Day:Spend your last day reveling in the relaxing pace of Blue Ridge, and treat yourselves to a couples massage at Serenity in the Mountains or Tea Tree's Boutique Spa! Ranging from 55 minutes to 85 minutes, enjoy a hot stone massage to help your tense muscles and damaged tissues ease throughout your body. Now that your soul has been nourished feed your body with Rum Cake Lady's fresh hot sandwiches! An authentic Cuban cafe, Rum Cake Lady is family-owned and operated, offering a variety of sandwiches, bowls, and homemade bundt cakes. Spend the rest of the afternoon perusing the boutique shops on Main Street, and make sure to pick up a sweet treat for later from The Sweet Shoppe! Winning Cupcake Wars on Food Network, their shop, is a must on any Blue Ridge bucket list. To cap off your final evening in the North Georgia Mountains, reserve a table at ROE for a divine, high-quality dinner. Their outstanding oyster selection, craft cocktails, and steaks will leave you remembering this evening for years to come. Fourth Day:No North Georgia getaway would be complete without seeing the natural beauty of the mountains, so visiting The Swinging Bridge or Fall Branch Falls is a must! Only 25 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, The Swinging Bridge is a 270-foot-long suspension bridge perched over the Toccoa River. This classic hike is quite easy, with only a few hills to climb. Fall Branch Falls is poised right in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area and offers stunning views, a pool at the base of the waterfall to splash around in, and the opportunity to walk to the top of the falls! After your outdoorsy afternoon, stop by Bear Claw Vineyards for some fine wine, charcuterie, and live music! Their rustic property and venue boast a fully functioning winery and the opportunity to recap your adventures with your loved one while enjoying one last hurrah in Blue Ridge. Fifth Day:Though the road trip home is inevitable, Cabin Rentals of Georgia offers a late check-out service of $50/hour after 10 a.m., so treat yourself to sleeping in one more time before heading back to the real world. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch or make breakfast in bed to relish the final moments of your North Georgia getaway and the sweet memories made with your significant other. Though all good times must come to an end, make sure to use your Guest Loyalty points to start planning your next romantic vacation in the mountains! | The MemoriesWe arrived here at Fallen Timber on the evening of the 22nd after a 9-hour drive from South Florida. We arrived here at Fallen Timber on the evening of the 22nd after a 9-hour drive from South Florida. Not a bad drive, but when we opened the door to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a breathtaking view, it made it all worth it! The cabin is EVERYTHING we could have hoped for and more. What a wonderful way to spend Christmas…a crackling fire, a gorgeous log cabin, and family. Thank you, Gary and Lissa, for a wonderful experience! We are a truly blessed family to be able to spend Christmas together, and we are additionally blessed to be a part of Fallen Timber’s 1st Christmas. We are making many warm memories from the many beautiful moments we are experiencing here. I don’t think it was “just a coincidence” that both my son and I stumbled on Fallen Timber’s website and each separately decided that this was the cabin for our Christmas celebration. The cabin is every bit of what we hoped for, and more. We appreciate Gary’s helpfulness and hospitality. I feel blessed by healing and happiness, and our family is very blessed as we share our moments and days together here at this beautiful Fallen Timber Lodge. God has a way of showing himself and the wonders of his works. The mountains are simply beautiful. Waking up wach morning looking at the view it appears we are inside a perfect picture. We are thankful to God for the quiteness, peace and comfort that the mountains provide.... God has a way of showing himself and the wonders of his works. The mountains are simply beautiful.
