Activities Perfect Inside and Out! Perfect Location! We had a great time! Absolutely loved the "cabin." Perfect location! Perfect Mother's Day I couldn’t think of a more perfect place to spend Mother’s Day than right here in this beautiful cabin home. My girls (ages 6 and 3) loved walking down to the creek and the hot tub. We brought my parents along, and they enjoyed shopping and dining downtown. My husband and I enjoyed the outside decks at night, listening to the sounds of nature. It was our first trip, but we will be back. Perfect Mountaintop Getaway We had a wonderful experience at the Blue Horizon Lodge. Everything was perfect at this mountaintop get away. We enjoyed our walks around the creek and our area. It was so private and secluded. We were surprised how good the weather was - it was so comfortable all day for us to enjoy the porch, grill out, etc. We love the fireplace, too! The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of our hectic (but fabulous) city lives. We came with several friends, but our main goal was quality time together, and boy howdy did we get that. The gentle patter or rain on the roof- perfect! The rushing river we could see from our bed- perfect! Strolling hand in hand down the hiking path- lovely! We planned morning activities (after coffee on the porch) and went horseback riding, and mountain biking. We came back to relaxing afternoons - naps, reading, movies, board games and the hot tub. We finished off the day with grilling out and several glasses of wine. It has been the PERFECT family vacation! Our kids are ready to move here. At our Public Safety Trainer Retreat we experienced many "AHA" moments at this amazing getaway. Many discussions took place while viewing the spectacular sunsets from the porch.
