Activities Perfect Family Trip! Perfect Family Vacation On The Hiwassee River We enjoyed ourselves very much, and enjoyed the cabin. Perfect setting for family time, and relaxation. We will be back soon! Perfect Fit at the Rivers Edge What a great cabin! We wee here for the Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race and it was the perfect location. Our teams and their support crews fit perfectly at the Rivers Edge and it made the race experience all the better. We look forward to coming back for next year's race! Perfect for a Couples' Trip We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin this weekend. It has the perfect layout for a couples' trip. The fire pit was our FAVORITE!! It's a beautiful property. This cabin offered everything my friends and I needed, including what we didn't know we wanted. :) It's perfect for couples! We were 3 couples each with our own private spaces. We usually go for the big, glass filled cabin high on the mountain but this time we were looking for something different. From the moment we pulled up it felt like home. Truly. The wildlife, the perfect fluffy grass around the pond and the rich history of the cabin was spectacular. We had the good fortune of meeting the brothers in charge and they added so much warmth to our trip. Every need we had was far exceeded. The cabin itself is cozy and comfy and the beds are ridiculously soft! Highly recommend Andrew, the fishing guide. He was so good with my kids and I got to relax on the swing while they fished downstream. We will definitely be back! Perfect for our 4th Wedding Anniversary! We planned to go to Hawaii, but with the pandemic, we were not able to do so. I must say coming here was not a disappointment! We really enjoyed our time we spent here. Our group of two couples enjoyed this property very much! On the first night we sat on the porch for dinner. Day 2 we shopped in Blue Ridge and had lunch at Chester's (great food!) on Main St. Day 3 we went hiking to Sea Creek Falls in the rain. It was so wonderful! Then we drove to The Swinging Bridge, and at night we played Phase 10. We saw several deer families, wild turkeys, and colorful butterflies. Some of our highlights included cooking for one another, hiking, celebrating Jill's 60th birthday, all of the green scenery, the sound of the creek, and seeing the mountains again. Man- did we cook…from grilled steaks, chicken, links, brautwarst to greens, cornbread, potato salad, toss salad, green beans and the best sweet potato pies my mom makes. Yum! Yum! …its on now! After such a wonderful meal, we decided to play pool, cards and dominoes. It was midnight when we realized we had been indulged for hours. Wow! We had gotten so relaxed and were having so much fun! By 1:00 a.m the fun had to come to an end because we had one more full day and a lot to cram in that day. 8:00 am and half of the guests were already in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Bacon,eggs,grits and biscuits covered our plates. By 9, we were sitting down to the delicious breakfast realizing how blessed we are to be apart of Gods creation like this. We were reflecting on the beauty around us…to look out the windows from the North, South, East and West and discovering the beauty was amazing. After our breakfast we gathered up for our drive to Atlanta to see the Martin Luther Kings Jr. historical site and what a site it was. Once we got back we sat around the campfire and telling stories. We ate, laughed, sang and cried. Most of us enjoyed each other and will cherish our time here @ Fallen Timber forever. God is Awesome! It has truly been a pleasure staying here.
