For the kids young and old, check out 2nd Story Entertainment - an 18-hole miniature golf course running through different rooms in this 100 year old hotel...or check out Vertigo Pinball which is a blast, and Mountain Man Comics where you could spend hours persuing old and new comic books in a cool building. Ice Skating in Downtown Blue Ridge
Ice Skating opens at the Blue Ridge Farmers Market, located next door to The Swan Drive-In. Beginning Friday, November 18th and continuing through January 9th. Opening daily and will have special hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Cost is $10.00 and includes skate rental. Concession stand available. Check here for hours of operation.

One of the most popular waterfall hikes just under 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge is Fall Branch Falls, a family-friendly hike that will take your breath away. Experience the Aska Trails in the same area and experience beautiful mountain country. For more strenuous hikes, the Chattahoochee National Forest in the North GA mountains features gorgeous views and waterfalls. If you want to experience a bit of the Appalachian Trail, Springer Mountain is nearby and even has a 729-foot waterfall - Amicalola Falls - that is a must-see!

On weekends in December in Downtown Blue Ridge, you’ll find The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Christmas Express. During this 1-hour Santa Express ride your family will hear a Christmas story, hear Christmas songs, meet Christmas characters, and of course, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be plenty of chances to snap the perfect picture, so don't forget your camera. Every child will receive our traditional Christmas bell, a candy cane from Mrs. Claus, and a memory they won't soon forget!
